My father-in-law handed me a camera shortly after my first child was born and told me to go into business!  I had never before considered a career in photography.  In fact, in high school my parents refused to pay to develop film from my little camera because the photos were so bad!  But it quickly drew me in and a love of photography was discovered.

I love meeting your family and telling your story through portraits.  I love capturing the looks, the moments, the interactions that are uniquely you.  You aren’t like everyone else and your portraits shouldn’t look like everyone else’s.  I want your personality and style to shine through in every image.  I’m not just taking pictures of your family, I’m capturing a moment in time that is all too fleeting and creating a work of art to be treasured long after the moment has passed.  I am invested in every portrait I take and I want you to love them every bit as much as I do.  I want you to stop every time you walk by your portraits and smile.

When I’m not making you look awesome(!), I can be found playing with my two children, reading a good book (have any recommendations?), drinking a sweet tea, or making something yummy (and very possibly artery clogging) in the kitchen.  Come see me and we will make beautiful art together!
